Growing Threads started the way most parent projects do: with too many browser tabs. Somewhere between hunting for a swimsuit our kid would actually be visible in and a flannel that didn't cost sixty dollars, we realized the hours of digging through Amazon were the real work — and that most families don't have those hours.
So we do the digging. Every product on this site was found, compared, and chosen by us. Most of it has been through our own laundry, our own beach days, and our own back seat. Nothing here is paid placement, and no brand can buy its way onto a list.
What we look for
Three things, in this order: it should work (fit, wash, survive a season), it should look like it cost more than it did, and — where it matters — it should make your kid easier to see and your day a little safer. That last part comes honestly: Growing Threads is run by a New Hampshire dad who has spent his career in the safety and protection field, and old habits die hard.
What we are not
We're not a safety authority, and we won't pretend to be. Bright swim colors, baby gates, and cameras are layers — useful ones — but no product replaces an adult paying attention. When we write about safety topics, we'll give you the reasoning and let you make the call for your own family.
How the site makes money
When you buy something through our links, Amazon may pay us a small commission. The price you pay doesn't change. That's the whole business model — no sponsored posts, no selling your email address, no ads chasing you around the internet.
